The Narmada Shiva Lingam does not need to be made worship-worthy. It does not require rituals. They are however natural, self evident and enduring. They cannot be defiled or lose their merit.
The marking on this lingam appears to be that of a water vase. The ancient rishis of the vedas say that such markings on the Narmada Shiva Lingam is a sign of Varuna the Lord of the Water and the Guardian of Cosmic Justice.
